Tomas’ photos

Today my son Tomas, a 26-year-old twin with Borderline Personality Disorder, took part in his first collective photography exhibition at our local Town Hall. The show will be open every day until December 2nd and there are several local young artists displaying their work. Tomas has 19 photos in the show and they can be seen, along with others, at http://tomasvl.zenfolio.com

It is amazing that such a troubled person is able to capture immense peace and serenity in some of his photographs. It is also a great achievement for him to have managed to put all this work together and go through with the exhibition. A few years ago it would have been unthinkable for him. Sometimes his progress seems so slow, but when one looks back to just a year or two ago, the change has been remarkable. The initial reactions have been very favourable and that is SO good for him. I’m really hoping that something will come of all  this that will help him.

  1. Hi!

I am a fellow translator living just across the border near Céret.

It is great that your son can create such beautiful photographs, and share them with people too. It is victory!
